Marriage was once an institution, once you were married, it was for life. Unfortunately with the increase in infidelity many marriages are on the road to divorce. If you suspect your partner of cheating there are a few signs that you could look for to confirm your suspicions.

A good sign that someone is being unfaithful is there constant state of distraction. They always seem to be in deep thought, almost worried about something. This could be your partner struggling with their emotions, the feelings of guilt they are experiencing because they are cheating and trying to decide what to do.

Another sign is excuses to leave the house or encouragement for you to leave the house. If they suddenly being enthusiastic towards you going on your own to visit friends and family, when they would have complained before. Creating silly arguments over nothing and having to leave the house to calm down and cool off. These can be signs that your partner is cheating, and wants to make time to go and see their new lover.

Becoming secretive is another telltale sign. Has your partner suddenly started to erase calls and messages on his or her phone? Has the internet web browsing history been deleted? Do they step outside to make a call, do they have an e-mail account you don’t know about? Have they suddenly become interested in new online communities such as Facebook or Friends Reunited? These too could be a sign that your partner is cheating or thinking about it.

If you do notice any of the signs above, make sure you have physical proof before you start to accuse your partner of cheating. The last thing you want to do is throw away a marriage over false accusations.

Taking out cash – If you husband is smarter than the average, he will take out cash to hide those secret dinners and flower purchases. Although this makes it hard to come to a conclusion, if you check your bank statements carefully you will be able to see when and at what time the money is being withdrawn. You can check to see if this matches up with a time your husband was away or working. You can also check the regularity of the withdrawals. Is it a one-time action or a regular thing?

Secret Credit Cards – A husband who has something to hide will probably apply for credit cards without your knowledge, check his wallet if you have the chance and see if there are any there you do not recognize. Also with the increase of prepay cards available this is also an alternative that some cheaters use to prevent detection.

Throwing Away Receipts – Although it’s a nasty job, if you suspect your partner of cheating, check the rubbish bin. Look for small crumpled up receipts. Although your partner is using cash, he will still get a receipt. This can be a good way of tracking the whereabouts of your partner. If he said he was at, and there is a receipt from somewhere else, he is obviously lying to you. It is a good idea to keep a diary so you can note down where he has said he would be, so you can check with the receipts that you have found.

New Email Accounts – Your husband may set up a new e-mail account to communicate with his new lover. Sometimes if he is forgetful he might not have remembered to clear the saved form history on the computer. This means that when you type in an e-mail address into a search bar, the computer will show you examples of e-mail addresses previously typed into the computer. If one shows up that you do not recognize this may be the new secret one!
